The Vermilion County Health Department reported 91 new COVID-19 cases on Monday evening.
Administrator Doug Toole says the county currently has 25 residents who are hospitalized with the virus. Overall, Vermilion County has had 6,674 cases since March. The rolling positivity rate is down more than two percentage points to 9.7 percent.
The new cases, broken down by age, consist of:
- One person in their 90’s
- Six people in their 70’s
- 14 people in their 60’s
- Five people in their 50’s
- 15 people in their 40’s
- 13 people in their 30’s
- Nine people in their 20’s
- 16 teenagers
- Nine grade-school-aged children
- Two preschoolers
- One toddler
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 4,776 new cases and 53 more deaths statewide on Monday. Illinois’ totals are now 1,033,536 cases and 17,627 deaths. The state’s rolling positivity rate is 7.6 percent.
