The Executive Director of the Danville Election Commission is leaving that position. Will Nesbitt says he has accepted a new job in the private sector at Hyster Yale Company. His last day with the Election Commission is April 28th.
Nesbitt says he has enjoyed his time as the head of elections in the City of Danville and has learned a lot from it. But he adds his new job gives him a better opportunity for personal growth.
Nesbitt has served in his position with the Danville Board of Election Commission since January of 2015. He says his job with the Election Commission will be posted on the Vermilion County website as the search begins for his replacement.
And anyone who would like to wish Nesbitt well in his new position is invited to stop by an informal reception. It will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 28th, at the Danville Board of Election Commission office. The office is located in the courthouse annex.
