Students in the College Express Program at Danville Area Community College will display Thursday some of the projects they have been working on this spring. The general public is invited to the show which will run from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Bremer Conference Center.
College Express is a cooperative venture between the Vermilion Vocational Education Delivery System (VVEDS), Danville Area Community College and local school districts. It provides career and technical education programs for Vermilion County high school juniors and seniors.
The public can meet with students and talk to them about their projects during two sessions. The first period where students will be available is from 8:40 until 10:00 a.m. They will be available again between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. (on Thursday, April 27th).
Also Thursday a group of Americorp youth will be planting a tree on the DACC campus as part of Arbor Day observances. The tree planting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. between Vermilion Hall and the Child Care Center. The tree planting is expected to occur whether or not it is raining.
