OSF Healthcare, in partnership with the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District and Village of Rantoul, are hosting a community-based COVID 19 vaccination clinic in Rantoul. The clinic is being held at the Rantoul Youth Center on Wednesday and Thursday, February 3rd and 4th.
Appointments can be made by calling (217)-892-6844 (during regular business hours), or for more information visit vaccinations@myrantoul.com.
The clinic is open to Champaign County residents aged 65 and above, as well as in-person staff for State of Illinois approved early childhood and daycare facilities – plus K-12 school employees.
You may be asked to show an I.D. for employment verification.
‘’Because vaccine quantities remain limited, those who wish to receive the vaccination must have an appointment,’’ said Courtney Luth, Director of physician offices in Champaign-Urbana for the OSF Medical Group. ‘’Patients will need to bring their insurance card, wear a mask, and plan to stay for at least 15 minutes after receiving the vaccination for observation, and wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper portion of their arm for the injection.’’
Rantoul Mayor Charles Smith says he and other local leaders are extremely excited to be able to host the clinic in partnership with the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District and OSF HealthCare.
