Since 2005, Dottie McLaughlin has been director of I Sing The Body Electric, a program that examines, determines and spotlights risks and issues for teens in our area.
It’s been a program dear to her heart…
McLaughlin will be retiring from that position on Friday. I Sing The Body Electric has allowed teens to express their issues and concerns thru artistic methods that resonate with other children their age…
This sessions’ artwork will start touring with the Danville Public Library on July 8, and stop in Hoopeston, Westville and Catlin through early September.
I Sing is a program of Presence United Medical Center. The Center will be hosting an open house to honor McLaughlin Friday at 1:30 in conference rooms 2 and 3.
McLaughlin says she plans to spend more time with family, especially her grandchildren.
