Vermilion County residents now have more options when it comes to receiving their COVID-19 vaccines.
According to Doug Toole, the administrator for the Vermilion County Health Department, both the Vermilion Regional Airport and Danville Area Community College are being used as locations for people to receive COVID-19 vaccines.
Outdoor clinics will be held at the airport on March 18-20 and 25-27 and April 15-17 and 22-24 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
Indoor clinics are on March 15, 17, 21, 22 and 24 as well as April 12, 14, 18, 19 and 21, all at the Bremer Theater at Danville Area Community College.
Registration for the new COVID-19 vaccine clinics is being done through an online sign-up sheet. Appointments can be made by using a sign-up sheet for the indoor clinics at DACC and another form for the outdoor ones at the airport. Beginning on Wednesday, residents can also call the health department at 217-431-2662, extension 263 or 264, and someone will assist them in scheduling an appointment.
Toole says the health department is calling people who are on its wait list about scheduling new appointments. Clinics will still be held at the Fischer Theatre in downtown Danville, but none have been scheduled past April 8th.
