The Vermilion County Health Department is adding a pair of single-dose COVID-19 vaccine clinics to its roster.
The first clinic will be taking place on Wednesday April 7th between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Fischer Theatre in downtown Danville. The second one will be held on Saturday, April 10th between 9 a.m. and Noon at the Vermilion County Health Department’s building, which is located at 200 S. College St. in Danville.
Both clinics will be using the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, which only requires one dose, versus the two-dose vaccines that are required for anyone receiving ones from Moderna or Pfizer. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine has also been used by Carle during its recent clinics at the Village Mall.
Anyone who lives or works in Vermilion County can receive the vaccine. Registration can be done online by visiting the health department’s website and using a voucher code for the specific vaccination site. You can also call 217-431-2662, extension 263 or 264, to sign up.
The health department announced six new COVID cases Tuesday night, including one infant.
