The former treasurer of the Parke Heritage School District Booster Club has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $9,000 of the group’s funds.
46-year-old Patricia Hanks of Rockville is facing one felony count of theft. Her bond has been set at $10,000.
Indiana State Police say that Hanks was the club’s treasurer from August 2018 through this past February. During her duties as treasurer, Hanks allegedly kept over $9,000 of donated funds for herself without depositing the money into the club’s bank account.
An investigation into Hanks’ activities began in January. She was arrested and charged on Thursday.
