An elderly Westville woman has died from injuries that she sustained in a two-vehicle accident in Tilton earlier this month.
The Champaign County Coroner’s office says that 87-year-old Dorothy Virostek died on Saturday morning from her injuries.
Tilton police say that Mrs. Virostek was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Frank Virostek on Monday, April 5th. They were heading south on Route 1 around 4:30 p.m. when their vehicle was struck at the intersection with Southgate Drive by another vehicle driven by Ainsley Miller of Westville.
Police say Miller was northbound and attempted to turn left at the intersection on a flashing yellow arrow when she struck the Virosteks.
Miller was issued a citation for making an improper left turn into oncoming traffic.
