The Vermilion County Health Department says that a man in his 70’s has become the latest person in Vermilion County to die from COVID-19.
In addition, 39 new cases have been reported, which include one person in their 70’s, two people in their 60’s, five grade-school-aged children and one toddler.
A total of 133 people have died from the virus overall since the pandemic began. Vermilion County has seen 9,259 overall COVID cases.
There are currently five Vermilion County residents who are hospitalized with the coronavirus, and 116 active cases.
Several appointment times are still available for single-dose Johnson and Johnson clinics that will be held on Wednesday at Oakwood Grade School and on Thursday at Salt Fork Junior High School in Jamaica, as well as a second-dose Moderna vaccine clinic on Tuesday at the health department building in Danville.
