Danville Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of a two-story home as they arrived on Saturday (February 24, 2018). But despite the intense flames and smoke they were able to contain the flames at 108 Tennessee Street to a couple of rooms.
There were no injuries. The alarm sounded at shift-changing time, so instead of calling in off-duty firefighters extra help was able to respond quickly.
An investigation continues into what caused the fire.
