Although most of the attention was focused on the school’s girls’ basketball team, Schlarman Academy had another big event on Saturday. The school hosted its annual Schlarman Academy Invitational Archery Competition….and this year 600 archers took part.
This year the archery competition raised funds to support the Danville AMBUCS. And during the competition an AM-Tryke was awarded to help a youngster with disabilities be more mobile.
Saturday’s competition was held at Danville High School. Even though it was taking place during Schlarman’s state championship basketball game, those in the fieldhouse were kept abreast of what was happening on the basketball floor in Normal.
