Some Vermilion County Conservation District Board members voiced tentative support late Wednesday (February 28, 2018) for a new three-day music and art festival this fall. A formal contract is yet to be worked out for what is being proposed as ‘Serenity Base Fest’ at Kennekuk County Park.
Josh Eidenburg, a co-founder of the event, says there would be more than music….
Eidenburg says art would also play a key role in the 3-day festival that would be held in the area of the Bunker Hill Historic Area…
Although they considered several locations, Eidenburg says they like Danville….
The Conservation District Board is expected to consider a formal contract for the event when it meets in March. Tentative dates for the festival are September 13th through 16th, 2018 at Kennekuk County Park. Conservation District Board members were told the festival is expected to attract a minimum of 2500 people, and possible upwards to 5,000.
