The Vermilion County Health Department has opened up registration for COVID-19 vaccine clinics that will take place next week and are targeted at teens in the county.
Four different clinics will be held next week (you can register by clicking on the links below):
- Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at Hoopeston Area High School
- Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School
- Friday, May 21 from 3-7 p.m. at Salt Fork Junior High School
- Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Mark Denman Elementary School
All of the clinics will be open to kids ages 12-17 who live in Vermilion County. An adult must also be present with each student at the clinics. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered, meaning a second dose will be necessary during the second week of June.
The Danville VA also announced yesterday that it is now offering walk-in COVID vaccines. They are open to veterans, spouses and caregivers. Vaccines are being administered at Building 98, which is the main building, on Tuesday and Thursday of each week between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
More than 2.7 million people have been vaccinated nationwide through the VA.
