Two people were hospitalized after a fire in a two-story home in the Rabbittown neighborhood on Monday morning.
Assistant Danville Fire Chief Todd Spicer says that crews were called to a house in the 600-block of Bryan Avenue around 7:30 this morning. They found heavy fire and smoke coming from the structure.
Four occupants were inside the home and all made it out safely. One occupant was taken to a hospital with burns to his hands. Five dogs were also rescued from the home.
Firefighters had the fire under control in about 20 minutes. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
