State Treasurer Mike Frerichs is scheduled to be in Danville this evening (Tuesday evening, March 6th) to address a meeting of Illinois Community College Trustees. Danville Area Community College is hosting Illinois Community College Trustees Association East Central Region board meeting.
DACC Trustee Dave Harby is the chairperson for the East Central Region. He says trustees from Danville Area Community College will be joined by Trustees and administrators from five other community colleges. They are Parkland College, Richland Community College, Heartland Community College, Lake Land College, and Lincoln Land Community College.
The general public is invited to hear what Treasurer Frerichs will be telling the college leaders. If you are interested in attending, Frerichs’ comments are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6th, in the Bremer Theatre on the Danville campus.
Frerichs was born in Gifford and now lives in Champaign. He was elected Illinois State Treasurer in 2006. His office actively manages approximately $25 billion dollars.
