The VA Illiana Health Care System is still trying to fill more than 200 jobs. During an online town hall meeting Tuesday viewers were told it is not just doctors and nurses that are needed. Danville’s largest employer is also looking to find painters, plumbers, cooks, clerical and non-clerical candidates, among others.
The VA is offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus as it attempts to fill about 20 housekeeping positions. And by the end of September, VA Illiana expects to add some more social workers.
Associate Acting Medical Center Director Zachary Sage noted all of the positions offer good pay and benefits. Plus, he added, ‘’it’s wonderful to come to work every day and serve Veterans.’’
