Some high school students across Illinois will walk out of classes Wednesday (March 14, 2018) as part of a national protest on gun violence. Others will stay in school, but virtually every school in the state has been focusing on school safety.
Danville High School Principal Kimberly Norton (shown here) says she is very proud of the way a ‘SAFE Group’ of students at the school approached her asking for permission to participate…
Norton adds Wednesday afternoon’s walkout will occur at a time that all students will be in the building and will have the opportunity to participate…..
Norton says parents have been notified and students will remain on campus during the planned demonstration.
