Sixteen (16) National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men’s Basketball teams from across the country have earned the title of regional champions and will represent their regions in the upcoming NJCAA Division II Men’s National Basketball Championship. The upcoming NJCAA Championship Tournament will be held at Danville Area Community College March 20-March 24, 2018. This year marks the 25th year that Danville has hosted the tournament and the 33rd year of the tournament.
A playoff bracket is available at www.dacc.edu/njcaa/. WDAN radio (1490 AM) will broadcast all of the tournament games.
Game times are: Tuesday, March 20: 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. morning session; 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. afternoon session and 6:30 & 8:30 p.m. evening session. Wednesday, March 21: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. morning/afternoon session and 6:00 & 8:00 p.m. for evening session. Thursday, March 22: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. morning/afternoon session and 6:00 & 8:00 p.m. for evening session. Friday, March 23: 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. morning session; 1:00 & 3:00 p.m. afternoon session and 6:30 & 8:30 p.m. evening session. Saturday, March 24: Noon & 2:00 p.m. afternoon session and 5:30 & 7:30 p.m. for evening session.
A tournament pass, which is good for all games, is available for $45.00. Tickets are $8.00 each session/morning, afternoon or evening. Tickets for DACC students and senior citizens are $4.00 and children 6 and under are free for all games. Tickets sold at the door only. Visa, Master Card and Discover accepted.
A 50/50 Raffle in conjunction with the tournament. Tickets cost $1 each. The winning ticket will be drawn Saturday, March 24, during the championship game. Raffle participants need not be present to win. All proceeds from the raffle will support DACC athletic programs.
