Danville is losing its County Market Store located in Towne Centre downtown. Mayor Scott Eisenhauer says that while it appears the ownership group has decided not to renew the lease for that location – negotiations are already underway to get a new grocery store in the Towne Centre site.
So, the Mayor adds it is sort of a bad news – good news situation.
Niemann Foods, Incorporated of Quincy, owns the Danville and Tilton County Market Stores. It plans to continue operating the stores at the Village Mall and in Tilton after the one at Towne Centre closes at the end of April.
