Neuhoff Media has launched its 23rd licensed broadcast station with the debut of 101.7 FM – The Hammer in Lafayette, Indiana. It is not only a new station but also a new frequency for the Greater Lafayette area.
101.7 The Hammer launched its broadcasting today (Thursday, March 15, 2018) with coverage of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The station is an affiliate of ESPN Radio and the Chicago Cubs and will program all sports.
Beginning Monday, March 19th, Neuhoff Media Lafayette will enter the world of local sports with a daily afternoon talk show.
‘’We are excited to enter the world of local sports. We feel it is something our region has needed for a long time and we are happy to bring it to Greater Lafayette,’’ said Mike Shamus, Neuhoff Media Vice President of Programming.
Neuhoff Media owns stations in Lafayette, Indiana as well as Springfield, Decatur, Bloomington and Danville in Illinois. The Danville stations are WDNL 102.1 FM, WRHK 94.9 K-Rock, and WDAN 1490 AM Radio.
