Any school students in Vermilion County who received a Pfizer vaccine through the Vermilion County Health Department a month ago have the opportunity this week to receive their second dose.
Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the Illinois National Guard is assisting with the clinics for the final time this week. The schedule is as follows:
- Today from 3-6 p.m. at Hoopeston Area High School
- Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School
- Friday from 3-5 p.m. at Salt Fork Junior High School
- Saturday from 9 a.m.-Noon at Mark Denman Elementary School
Other Moderna clinics are currently being scheduled by the health department for June 16 and July 14. Those will be open to all adults in Vermilion County.
Students can register for this week’s clinics by visiting the department’s website or by calling 217-431-2662. Vaccines are also available at several other private providers, including Aunt Martha’s, Carle and OSF.
