It is a big weekend for those who enjoy art and fun in Vermilion County. Arts in the Park is back at Danville’s Lincoln Park on Saturday, June 26th and Sunday, June 27th, 2021. It was not held last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shannon Schroeder, one of the organizers of the event, says people will be surprised at what they find there….
Back this year is the Sidewalk Chalk Contest, Art on Wheels Car Show, and two days of live performances involving music, dance and other entertainment on the Lincoln Park stage. Children can have fun creating their own artwork, and of course there are lots of food vendors there all weekend.

Hours for the 2021 Arts In The Park are Saturday, June 26th, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 27th, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. More information about Arts In The Park can be found by visiting www.danvilleilaitp.org.

The historical Lamon House, which is located in Lincoln Park, will be open on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and on Sunday from noon until 4:00 p.m.

Also this weekend, the Fischer Theatre is presenting ‘’Our Town’’ in partnership with the Red Mask Players. All shows are being performed for a free-will donation in thanks and celebration of the return of community theatre. Last year all shows were cancelled because of the pandemic. Hours for the shows this weekend at the Fischer are 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 25th, and Saturday, June 26th at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m.
