Although severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for parts of Vermilion County Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service says the Fourth of July will likely be mostly sunny and mild. Independence Day is coming on Sunday when highs are expected to reach the low 80s.
Monday…when many people will also have a day-off….will likely be mostly sunny and warmer with a high around 87.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue at times today through Thursday. But on Friday and Saturday the Weather Service says there will only be a slight chance of rain in our area. High temperatures on Friday will likely reach the upper 70s, and near 80 again on Saturday.
