A segment of Indiana State Road 32 will be temporarily closed – effective on Friday (July 16, 2021) according to the Indiana Department of Transportation. It is the segment just east of U.S. 41 over a fork of Prairie Creek.
The road is being closed in order to repair and overlay a bridge deck. State Road 32 in that area is expected to reopen on Thursday, August 5, 2021.
A detour will be established allowing motorists to follow U.S. 41, U.S. 136 and S. R. 341.
The work is part of various improvements being done this year on bridges in Fountain, Vermillion, and Vigo Counties. The work is scheduled to last through mid-October.
