The Vermilion County War Museum is nearing its annual campaign goal. Museum President Jim Kouzmanoff says the money raised is used for a variety of things….
This past year some of the funds were used to transform an empty room into a World War II – War in the Pacific Display.
The museum features thousands of items, and Kouzmanoff says he occasionally gets new ones in the mail. He described one such item – an Army utility bag – which was recently donated to the museum….
The soldier who had carried the bag was killed in action during World War II.
Kouzmanoff says he appreciates all of the people who have donated items to the Vermilion County War Museum. He suggests, though, that if you are thinking about donating an item that you call the museum first. Their number is (217) 431-0034.
