Police officers in Vermilion County are getting some extra protection thanks to a company that uses special equipment to clean squad cars. Andrew Whitmarsh is the vice-president and co-owner of a company called 360 Hazardous….
{‘’We actually go through a pretty simple, but effective, process. We clean up the cars, we vacuum them. We sanitize them and disinfect them. And that helps with keeping any type of viral-pathogens, bacterial pathogens corralled. And that helps them stay a little bit more safe when they’re out there doing their job.’’}

Danville Police Chief Christopher Yates (second from left in photo) appreciates the company’s decision to donate its services….
{‘’You know we’ve had local businesses do similar services for us – and we always appreciate it. We don’t always know what’s in the car. We can’t see what’s going on. We clean them up the best we can with the products we have. But it always helps when we have professionals come and provide services as well.’’}
Whitmarsh says his company has one simple goal in offering the service….
{‘’360 is a proud law enforcement supporter, and backing the Blue, and keeping our men and women safe. And we pray and think to keep them safe out there as well. And if we can contribute here, that’s what we really strive for.’’}
Several village police departments in Vermilion County also had their squad cars cleaned by the company on Wednesday.
