The new president of OFS Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville is settling into his position and says one of his first priorities is to observe. Ned Hill discussed his plans on WDAN Radio’s Newsmakers program….
{AUDIO: ‘’One of the things I’d really like to do is do a lot of looking – a lot of listening, a lot of talking to folks. See some of the things that are going on that are very, very good and positive. And some of the things that might have some challenges, or have some staff concerns, or community concerns.’’}

Hill adds another top priority is to make sure patients have a great experience, and therefore will have no desire to leave town for health care….
{AUDIO: ‘’One of our main focuses here going forward is to make sure that that customer service – that patient experience we call it – is second to none. And I’m not talking about second to none in our community or our region – I’m talking about second to none in the country.’’}
Hill graduated from North Vermillion High School in western Indiana. It was after his father moved his family from the suburbs to take a job at the VA hospital in Danville. As it turned out, Hill’s first job after deciding to go into health care was also at a VA hospital….
{AUDIO: ‘’I actually was in school and took several class courses in college and found out I really liked administration – and ended-up my first job in health care was in the dietary department at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake.’’}
OSF opened its second OnCall Urgent Care Center, at Main and Logan, last week. The first OSF OnCall Urgent Care Center is located on North Vermilion Street, on Danville’s north side. Hill will oversee operations at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.
