A longtime tradition that was canceled last year because of the pandemic is coming back next month. It is the Vermilion River Fall Festival at Danville’s Ellsworth Park planned for September 18th and 19th.
Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. talked about the return of the festival…
{AUDIO: ‘’We have over 40 vendors registered at this point. We also have the farmers’ market that’s going to be with us. And it’s going to be a pretty awesome time. We’ll have inflatables for the kids. We’re going to have a river cleanup. We’re going to be partnering with Keep Vermilion County Beautiful as well as Peer Court to make that happen.’’

Mayor Williams says the festival is a great event….
{AUDIO: ‘’It’s going to be a great weekend. A weekend for folks to get out and have some fun, but also have an opportunity to give back to the community.’’}
Last year would have been the 46th year for the festival which normally features lots of food and craft vendors, a car show and live music.
