Motorists traveling through Danville this weekend will see over 2-thousand small American Flags lining North Vermilion Street. The street temporarily takes on a new name as it is known as Rotary Memorial Way.
The Danville Rotary Club sponsors the sale of the flags to raise funds to support Veterans and other local causes.
Greg Wolfe, a Danville Area Community College Trustee and member of the Noon Rotary Club, was helping the teams placing the flags Friday morning..
Wolfe added it has been a record year for the flag sales..
In addition to placing the flags along North Vermilion Street the crews also placed them around local war memorials and the Vermilion County War Museum.
