Bloomington police helping lead the search for ISU Grad student Jelani Day reported over the weekend that a body was found in LaSalle County just off the south bank of the Illinois River, east of the Route 251 bridge. Day, who has family in the Danville area, has not been seen since August 23rd, and his car had been found abandoned three days later near Peru, Illinois.
The deceased person who was found has not been identified and the process could take several days or weeks. Authorities are asking that people refrain from speculation as to who the person is until the identification process is complete.
