Walker Hayes has enlisted pop star Kesha for a special version of his hit song, “Fancy Like.” He said, “I’ve been a fan of Kesha’s originality and vocals since first hearing her music. When Kesha sings, you know it’s Kesha. Her swag is so identifiable, and her songwriting celebrates the fun of everyday life and is so honest. It’s the perfect fit for a track about just that.”
Kesha said, “From the first time I heard “Fancy Like”, Walker was speaking straight to my heart. I’ve always been more at home in a honky-tonk in my boots than on a red carpet in heels. This song took me right back to my roots. Working with him on the lyrics was so fun — getting to yell and celebrate the most magical things which are usually cheap, dirty or free. This song reminds me of all those cheap thrills of the deep South that made me the wild woman I am.”
Walker co-wrote “Fancy Like” for his six-song EP Country Stuff.
The song is at the top of nearly every country streaming and sales chart since its release in June, and has spent eight weeks and counting in the Number One spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs. This week, the track is among the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 Songs and is already charting at Pop Radio.
