Speaking of the Vermilion River Fall Festival at Ellsworth Park, Keep Vermilion County Beautiful will be doing a River Clean-up Saturday morning to kickoff the festival. Douglas Tool from Keep Vermilion County Beautiful says they’re always there each festival to do what’s needed. If fact, the last time they did a river clean-up, he says it went very well.
AUDIO: It was an unusual year because it had been so dry. We were able to really get into it and pick up stuff. We are certainly happy to do what we can. If they’re planting, we’re happy to be part of it. If they’re doing a river clean-up, we can do that, and if it’s just a litter pick-up prior to the festivities, we’re happy to do that.
And those that want to help with the river cleanup are asked to be at Ellsworth park 9 to 11 AM. And it’s a clean-up, so wear old clothes and prepare to get dirty.
