Carmen Bolden-Day, the mother of Jelani Day, says she wants her son to be remembered as someone who could have been anyone’s loved one, and anyone’s friend.
AUDIO: I don’t even know what to say today because I never thought I would have to be in a position to have to remember my child. But what I do know is that I want the world to know that Jelani was and is a young man that could have been your brother, your son, your grandson, your nephew, your cousin, your friend. And I want everyone to remember Jelani as important.
A body found September 4th in LaSalle County was determined by the LaSalle County Coroner to be that of Jelani Day, a 25-year-old ISU student from Danville who had last been seen August 24th in Bloomington. Carmen Bolden-Day says, if you know anything, please speak up.
AUDIO: And if everyone knows anything, if they’ve seen anything, I need them to say something. I need them to contact the police, the Bloomington Police Department, and I have a private investigator, they can also make contact with him. His number is 618-223-0044. Please, if there’s any information out there, no matter how small, we need to know that information, we need to know what happened to my son. I want justice for Jelani.
Again that private investigator’s number is 618-223-0044.
