The Vermilion County Health Department is reporting 34 new cases (one resident in their 70s, three in their 60s, two in their 50s, six in their 40s, five in their 30s, three in their 20s, eight teens, five grade-school-aged children, and one infant), and 62 released, which brings the county to a total of 13,550 positive cases.
VCHD also reports three additional COVID-related deaths – a woman in her 70s, a woman in her 60s, and a woman in her 50s. This is in addition to the death of a woman in her 70s reported on Tuesday. Vermilion County has now lost a total of 195 Vermilion County residents to COVID-related deaths since this pandemic began.
There are currently 328 active COVID cases in the county. There are currently 13 Vermilion County residents hospitalized with COVID, none of whom are fully vaccinated.
