There’s a special show for a special cause both this coming Friday and Saturday nights at the Masonic Temple in Danville. The Children’s Dyslexia Center is presenting The Comedy of Randy Riggle at 7 PM both nights. Children’s Dyslexia Center vice-chairman Michael Puhr says this is a good, nostalgic, fun family show.
AUDIO: You can look forward to actually being back in the 50’s the 60’s. You’ll interact with different characters, and perform as those characters in the shows. So it’s going to be very entertaining, and it’s a clean show, good for all audiences.
Puhr says, when it comes to the fight against dyslexia, a lot has been done, but there’s more work to do.
AUDIO: There’s a mandate that requires schools provide education and training and things for children with dyslexia. Unfortunately, with budget constraints and things in the schools, it’s very important that we have these independent learning centers to provide that service for the children. We are 100 percent privately funded, we raise all of our own money.
