Just a few days remain for you to nominate someone for the Rotary Club of Danville’s Vocational Service Person of the Year Award. As Rotary spokesperson Amy Brown explains, while lots of awards out there are for community service, this one is for a local person who has done his job for a long time, and done it very well. Of course, there are all kinds of examples of that, but Brown gave two examples.
AUDIO: It could be a janitor that’s been working at a school for many years, and all the extras that go along with that. We all know the love and care that they invest in the kids around them. It could be someone who owns a restaurant, and wants to provide the greatest cuisine for our community.
The deadline to nominate someone is Friday. Brown says the form has been widely distributed, but if you have an idea and need one of the nomination forms, just send an e-mail to peace@agestrong.org.
