Starting this coming Monday, November 1st, Carle Health will have COVID booster shots available, by appointment. Chief Nursing Officer Elizabeth Angelo explains.
AUDIO: And in Vermilion County, we are scheduling for appointment times beginning on Monday, November 1st. Folks can call to schedule at 217-902-6100, or they can go through MYCARLE.com and select an appointment time in Vermilion County that works for them.
All three boosters, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson will be available. Angelo says, it’s recommended that you go with what you had the first time, but check with your doctor on if you can be flexible.
AUDIO: It’s good news that there’s a little bit less concern about which type. In general, the CDC is still recommending that you stick with the booster for the shot that you originally received. But if patients want a different type of booster, that’s certainly a discussion that they can have with their physician.
Angelo says the bottom line remains that they want people to get vaccinated against COVID, and get a booster if they need it.
