If your Illinois driver’s license needs renewed before March 31st, according to the information on it, Beth Kaufman from the Secretary of State’s office reminds you that you have until March 31st to do it. That extension has been offered due to Omicron variant difficulties. Coughman reminds us, however, this applies to personal driver’s licenses, not commercial.
AUDIO: Secretary White extended it until March 31st of 2022. So, people who have an expired driver’s license or ID card, have until March 31st of 2022 to take care of renewing that license or ID card.

Kaufman also reminds us, masks and social distancing are required at all Secretary of State offices.
AUDIO: Secretary White has implemented strict cleaning processes; that mask wearing is in effect and that social distancing is occurring. In addition, those people who work for the Secretary of State’s office have to provide testing, or show that they are vaccinated.
Kaufman says go to ILSOS.gov for the hours of the facility near you.
