Wet weather that is forecast this week has the National Weather Service in Indianapolis saying it could lead to flooding along the Wabash and other rivers. Rain is expected Tuesday and Tuesday night. Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is possible. Rain falling on already saturated soil could lead to river flooding later in the week.
The Weather Service is alerting residents in west central Indiana about the possibility of river or flash flooding. However it says the uncertainty remains high about the timing, extent and impact of the rain. Residents living or traveling in low-lying areas that are prone to flooding should stay alert for weather updates.
