The Illinois Broadcasters Association has named WDNL-FM D102 as its Station of the Year! The Silver Dome Award was presented this afternoon in a virtual ceremony. It is the fourth time in eight years that WDNL has won the award. WDNL also won in 2014, 2016 & 2017. 1490 WDAN in Danville, a sister station to WDNL, also won the Station of the Year award in 2010.
In addition to WDNL being named Station of the Year (in the Small Market Radio category), the Neuhoff radio stations in Danville also brought home some other awards.
In the category of Best Radio Series or Documentary, the March Forth Moments series won for the second year in a row.
RJ Crace received first-place individual honors as Best Sportscaster.
The Teacher Time series, which allowed Danville District #118 teachers to broadcast school lessons during the covid shutdown on air and online as podcasts, won for Best Use of Non-Broadcast media.
