The Danville Public Library is closing early this week, and will also be closed on Saturday, January 1st, for New Year’s Day. The library is closing at 3:00 p.m. today (Wednesday), and on Thursday and Friday.
The library closed early on Tuesday, December 28th, after a library staff member tested positive for COVID-19. Since then the library has been disinfected by Newton’s Cleaning and Restoration. The decision to close early this week was made due to the unplanned absence of a number of employees who are waiting for COVID test results as well as non-COVID related reasons.
The library is located at 319 North Vermilion Street in Danville. Normal library hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
