Danville mayoral candidate Donald Crews says he felt it was time someone new stepped up to run the city….
Crews was a guest on WDAN Radio’s Newsmakers program Tuesday.
He says one of his major concerns is safety and he likes the proposal to bring back Danville’s POP (Problem Oriented Policing) Unit to target crime in certain areas….
On the program Crews said new ways are going to have to be found to raise revenues. And he also talked about possibly merging some positions…

Acting Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. was featured on Monday, and Steve Nichols and Jim McMahon are on the show on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
