The City of Danville is going to be able to continue demolishing vacant homes and other structures this year after all. It was earlier announced the city had missed a deadline for submitting paperwork and would likely lose about a quarter of a million dollars in state funds.
The money was to reimburse the city for some demolitions that have already been done.
Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. says he has been working trying to recover the funds….
So, Mayor Williams says the City of Danville will be able to continue its demolition program this year.
