Good morning, Danville! Here’s an update from Carl Carpenter, our Director of PW, regarding the ongoing snow event:
“Crews were able to keep all roads open last night, finishing the secondary arterials before shift change at 7am. We are doing a pass in and out of all residential first thing today. Once crews have done that they will return to secondary arterials. The main arterials will have those trucks running all day. There is a lot of blowing, and drifting, especially on east/west roads. Forecast calls for 2-5 inches of additional accumulation, with snow not stopping until around 4pm. We will run at least one more round of 12 hour shifts, which will keep crews at work until 7pm Friday night.”
