It was during this past Tuesday evening’s Danville City Council meeting that Ethan Burt was sworn in as the new alderman from Ward 6, replacing Aaron Troglia who had moved out of Ward 6. Burt was rather humble when he introduced himself after the swearing in, but Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr made sure the Council knew, and wants residents to know, this is a good move for Danville’s future.
AUDIO: I think more than anything else he has great character. He’s a good thinker, and he definitely wants what’s best for this community. I mean he’s owned his own business for nearly a decade, which is very successful. He’s very active in the community, in his church, and in volunteer roles. And he’s young, you know we need our young people to get involved. So I’m really excited to see him step up and help us lead Danville.
Burt’s business, the BurtCo Photo Studio, is located at 22 North Jackson Street, known by many as the old Bud’s Cellular Building.
