Despite coming off a snowstorm and the precaution of making it a hybrid event, Danville Community Relations Administrator Ashton Greer says this past Friday’s Danville’s Got Talent show at the Fischer Theatre was a big success, and lots of people are still watching the video of it.
AUDIO: Sixteen-thousand views on the online video, 1,700 comments. The reach was extremely wide; I think because we made it a hybrid event it was a huge hit. In third place was Jody Prosser; second place was Tyler Young, he also won the People’s Choice award; and then in first place was Trinity Johnson. She is a young teen, I believe she’s 16, and she sang beautifully and the judges just loved her.
With this year’s new tradition of a big event in Downtown Danville on the First Friday of every month, the next one on Friday March 4th is the Glow With the Flow 5K race.
AUDIO: We’re about four weeks out from that, and getting ready to hit the marketing really hard. It’s all coming together. I’m super exited about it.
