Danville firefighters received alarms less than 90 minutes apart early Wednesday morning, March 16th; both resulting in “total loss” houses with one firefighter being treated and released.
The first alarm, at 502 Grant, was received at 4:31 AM. Firefighters found the roof engulfed in flames upon arrival. The house was not occupied, and no one was injured. The cause is still under investigation.
The second alarm, at 608 N. Griffin, was received at 5:55 AM. Upon arrival, firefighters found the front of the home on fire. One firefighter fell through the floor into the basement, and was treated and released after being taken to the hospital by ambulance. Two occupants of the house escaped without injury, and the cause is under investigation.
