A proposal headed to the Danville City Council would allow businesses which already have a liquor license to apply for a supplemental one for special events. The Council’s legal advisor, David Wesner, says it would clarify whose license covers such things as the Summer Sounds and DDI Concert Series….
Mayor Rickey Williams wants to make sure the city is fair to business partners and non-profits who are working to do good things in the community….
Each supplemental liquor license would cost $250.
Public Service Committee members of the city council took no formal vote, but agreed to forward the proposal to the full council at its May 7th meeting.
