A Danville man who was shot Wednesday afternoon has died at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup says 25-year-old Roosevelt Anderson Jr. died at 3:05 p.m. today (Thursday) from a gunshot wound to the head.
Police found Anderson lying in the 900 block of Redden Court in Danville. Police Commander Joshua Webb says officers were told Anderson was shot during an altercation involving several men.
Danville Police and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the case. Anderson is the second person to die from gunshot wounds in Danville this week. Thirty-three year old Cedric M. Halthon of Danville died Tuesday evening after he was shot in the area of the 800 block of Sherman Street.
